The ADGM is proud to announce the creation of a new event called the Pelican Cup.
The trophy will be awarded to the winners of a club challenge between the ODGC and the ADGM . This event is designed to push you to perform at your competitive best.
The concept is simple, to create a team of 8 players within the ADGM's membership,through a series of qualifying events in order to face-off against the ODGC's best 8 players.
2010 will be the beginning of a tradition that will place emphasis on intense yet friendly competition between the two largest disc golf clubs in Ontario and Quebec.
The Elite ADGM Team
Each year, 8 players will be selected through a series of qualifying events, their past tournament results, and on their involvement with their clubs.
Each team will have a captain who will represent the team and strategically set the team pairs or match-ups for the road to victory.
In Ottawa, the coach in 2010, shall be the player who wins the Presidents cup and in Montreal, the player who wins the 2010 ADGM tour.
It will cost $ 2.00 to enter into the qualification events number 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8.. The funds will go towards purchasing t-shirts for the event. Come one come all !!!
The Date
This year the Pelican Cup will be held on August 21st in Ettyville, the half way point between Montreal and Ottawa.
You must sign up to qualify and qualifications start this Spring in Montreal for the ADGM team.
