What Is Disc Golf ?

What is dic golf?

Disc golf is played in the same way as regular golf, but instead of hitting a ball with a club into a hole, a player throws a disc (Frisbee®) into a metal basket. As in regular golf, the object is to get the disc into the basket using the fewest throws possible. Disc golf has been played since the 1970’s and there are more than 2500 permanent courses worldwide, with more than 80 courses in Canada.

The player attempts to get the disc into the basket using the fewest throws possible.

How do you play disc golf?

The player throws the disc toward the target : a metal basket. The next throw is taken from where the previous throw landed. The “hole” is completed when the player succeeds in throwing his disc into the basket. The player then proceeds to the tee area for the next hole. Trees and terrain are natural obstacles that challenge disc golfers.

Disc golf is a game for everyone

Disc golf is a healthy pastime for kids, adults and seniors and requires no particular physical aptitude. Everyone can enjoy disc golf!

Why play disc golf ?

Leisure activities are becoming more and more important to us for the benefits to our health and the quality of our daily lives. The practice of this dicipline incorporates the entire body (arms, chest, legs...) and demands concentration and dexterity. All this makes disc golf a complete and ideal outdoor activity, whether alone or with friends and family.
